Adam and his wife Emma have been committed to volunteering at the renowned fundraiser for many years, with the charity holding a very special place in their heart. Telethon’s funding has helped their very own granddaughter, Sienna through an incredible medical recovery.
“Sienna is our miracle granddaughter who was born prematurely at 30 weeks.” Said Adam.
“She suffered extensive brain damage and was told she was going to have cerebral palsy and would be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
“Sienna has worked extremely hard with her mum, family and therapists to make an incredible recovery, but it would not be possible without the help of Telethon.
“We want to continue to raise money for this special cause so children like Sienna can continue to make life changing progress and have access to resources, medical services and therapy that make their recovery possible.” Said Adam.
Since Telethon’s inception in 1968, Western Australians have raised over $306 million through Telethon for the kids of WA.
Adam has been training at the gym for several months and is well on his way to feeling prepared physically and mentally for the challenge.
All donations are gratefully received by Adam, every little bit will go a long way to helping him reach his target.
